I agree wholeheartedly with Bruce on this one. We shouldn't make the mistake of banning something whose use is determined by the ulterior motives of the users and not the technology itself.

Capitalism fosters innovation, indeed. I do believe that contraceptives should be used along with new approaches to climate change, since population growth generally spikes in low-income countries where women don't have equitable access to birth control.
